Day 1 Trip to Munnar
When you arrive at Kochi airport/ railway station you will be received by our representative and we will proceed on a 4.5 hour drive to Munnar. The other attractions on the drive include Spice Plantations, Valara waterfalls, Cheeyappara waterfalls, Karadippara view point, Attukkad water fall view etc.
Once you reach Munnar, check in to the hotel. Relax in the hotel for the rest of the day or you can visit Tata Tea Museum which is a fascinating place where you can witness the entire process of tea production, its processing and tea tasting or you can go for a stroll in the Munnar town.
Day 2 Sight Seeing in Munnar
After breakfast, spend the day in local sightseeing in Munnar.
Munnar drives its name from the confluence of three mountain streams – Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale. Mattupetty is a popular picnic spot where you can opt for activities like boating and horse riding. Close by is the Echo Point, which offers you a panoramic view and the thrill of hearing your voice echo. Pothenmedu, Devikulam hill station, Chithirapuram, Nayamakad and Power House Waterfalls are other popular sightseeing spots. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 Trip to Thekkady
After breakfast, checkouts from the resort in Munnar and drive to Thekkady,
explore Thekkady and Kumili. Thekkady is well known for one of the world’s most fascinating wild life reserves – Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in Thekkady is spread across 777 sq km and is well known for its wild life and scenic beauty. In You can opt for a cruise on Lake Periyar. During the boat ride spot the wild life (elephants, Indian Gaur, Monkeys, Spotted deer, barking deer and birds of myriad varieties). Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 4 Proceed to Alleppey (Houseboat Stay for 1 Night)
After breakfast checkout from resort in Thekkady and proceed on a 4.5 hour drive to Alleppey and check in to the houseboat. Set out on an enchanting overnight backwater cruise in traditional Kerala Houseboat after lunch. While cruising in these floating luxury vessel , let your eyes enjoy the scenes in a Kerala country side – skim past Chinese fishing nets, bowed down paddy fields, local inhabitants engaged in making coir products, rustic homes and swaying coconut palms. All meals will be served on board. Overnight stay at houseboat.
Day 5 Departure / Tour Cochin
Morning, after the breakfast checkout from the houseboat and proceed to Cochin. Places to visit in Kochi include Fort Cochin still keeping alive its ancient Jewish traditions, the Santa Cruz basilica, Mattancherry Palace, St: Francis Church and much more. The Jews Street and Chinese fishing nets are a must see. We will pick you for your trip back home by evening, feeling contended about a wonderful holiday you spent at God’s Own Country like so many of our guests till now.
